lol pretty funny.
Everyone is going to interpret the ending in their own way and not everyone will be satisfied with how they wrapped it up. Made sense to me and I loved the ending.
Yeah, they ended it fine. one thing the lost writers can be relied upon for is catching you out, taking your theories and doing the opposite. when the final season comes out on dvd I will rewatch it all from the start and im sure it will make more sense.
Well it least it was better then the ending to "The Sixth Sense"...oh wait a second.
@Dos Sin Dumb post is dumb.
He was only dead in the sideflashes. The six years we invested in lost were absolutely brilliant, so it deserved an amazing send-off, which i thought it definitely thought it. iv watched 'the end' 3 times now, and every time i do i pick up on little comments and references which point to what was ging to happen, but we chose to ignore or deny until the last couple of minutes. i feel the audience was also going through Jack's realisation at the same time as he did, which is an amazing power to have when they wrote this.
what i didn't like was that they set up all this mystery and history with the characters and the place they were and in the series finale they only explained the reason for the existence of the sideflashes (which was an explanation that i liked for all the questions that appeared in season 6) but it didn't get enough closure for the past 5 seasons.
I get that they were going to leave some loose ends to leave to the viewers to imagine the possibilities, but i never imagined that they would leave almost all of them unanswered.
I agree, that the explanations for the island were more than just insufficient... But as I heard the rumor about a spinoff beeing planned, I understand why they left some questions unanswered.
Another thing: It's kinda nice to hear all those lost-style-discussion eventhough lost is over. It would have sucked to read only "but I thought that..."-comments because there are no open questions at all.
But still... the "wtf is this island"-question, that probably was losts most important one, should have been answered. if the island was their most important experience, we kinda deserve to know why. "everyone that shares an important experience meets in purgatory" could be the ending of any series there is... even desperate housewifes...
