Darren Aronofsky On His ‘Black Swan’ Oscar Nomination

Darren Aronofsky seems to have a knack for picking Oscar-worthy material. He’s directed several actors to nominations  — including Ellen Burstyn for "Requiem for a Dream" and Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei for "The Wrestler") — and today he became a nominee himself, for "Black Swan," a film also nominated in the Best Picture category. Russell was also nominated in the Best Director category for "The Fighter," a film Aronofsky was at one point slated to direct.
