J. Jonah Jameson spills details about that abandoned Spider-Man 4

Actor J.K. Simmons, who played Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson in the first threeSpider-Man movies, revealed some interesting info about where his character would have gone in the now-abandoned Spider-Man 4.

As you may recall, Spider-Man 4 was underway at one point with Sam Raimi returning to direct and stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst also coming back as Spidey/Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Not much was known about the script except that the villains were going to be the Vulture and possibly the Black Cat, with John Malkovich on board to play the former.

However, when Raimi walked due to battles with the studio over time constraints and script issues, the entire movie was scrapped and the franchise rebooted with a new director (Marc Webb) and new Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). That movie is shooting now and will arrive next year. Read More...
