That noise you just heard was the anguished cry of fangirls and (and fanboys -- sorry, didn't mean to leave you guys out) en masse. The CW announced on Thursday afternoon that the expected Friday, Jan. 28 mid-season premieres of "Smallville" and "Supernatural" will be postponed for one week to air Friday, Feb. 4 instead. On Jan. 28, re-runs of "The Vampire Diaries" and "Nikita" will air in the 8 p.m. EST and 9 p.m. EST slots. The CW hopes that re-airing the "The Vampire Diaries" in a timeslot that doesn't compete with ratings juggernaut "American Idol" will help to boost total viewership. The last-minute move is not about testing out "Vampire Diaries" and "Nikita" on Friday nights, so don't worry -- your schedule...
