'The Cape': Season 2 looking increasingly unlikely as episode order is reduced

We've got some bad news for fans of NBC's superhero drama, "The Cape." NBC has cut down their initial episode order for the series' first season from a planned 13 episodes to just 10, confirms TV Guide. Since the series debuted, its ratings have fallen from 8.4 million viewers to an unhealthy 5.3 million viewers for Monday's episode. A rep for the network confirms that they plan to air the remaining episodes as originally scheduled. The reduced episode order is typically the first nail in a TV series' coffin, so we'd be willing to bet that "The Cape" doesn't fare well for a possible Season 2. Our hope is that the plug is pulled officially in time to free up the series' considerable talent, including lead David Lyons and Sci-Fi favorite Summer Glau, for pilot season.Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, Zap2it readers.
