‘Never Let Me Go’ Gets Second Chance on DVD, Blu-ray

Though largely passed over this awards season, director Mark Romanek’s "Never Let Me Go," an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel, is getting another chance to connect with audiences as it is released this week on DVD and Blu-ray.

Shot during the spring of 2009, the film stars Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, and Andrew Garfield (aka the new Spider-Man) as students at Hailsham, a British boarding school that is actually training its attendees for a rather grisly future.

"Given the history of the book and the quality of the script, the film attracted the cream of the crop," says Romanek. "Personally, I remember reading the book the week it came out because I’m such a fan of Ishiguro. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for months." Read More...
