DVD Review: THE X-FILES REVELATIONS

The movie, THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE, has just been released to theaters, but before you see it, let me recommend you get THE X-FILES REVELATIONS DVD first.

The X-Files Revelations is a two-disc DVD compilation of eight critical episodes, which have been selected by the series creator, Chris Carter. Each episode includes special on-camera introductions by Carter and producer Frank Spotnitz, revealing why each were chosen and how they relate to the feature film, The X-Files: I Want to Believe.

I want to talk a little bit about each episode featured on the DVD, but first I would like to say how big of a fan I was of The X-Files when I was younger, although I did stop at some point and never saw the last episode. Watching this DVD was great, it featured episodes I remembered and some that I didn’t. And overall it was a whole new experience to watch it now and the DVD features some of the best episodes.

Ya know, I'd love to re-watch the episodes. I'll probably pick up the DVD you recommend. I can't imagine that I'll watch the movie though, it looks terrible.

I dunno, mostly it's just a vague feeling I get. I liked the X-Files for the long intricate conspiracy-driven plots as much as I liked it for the characters.
Just doesn't seem like the movie will hold a candle to the series.

I loved the series too and I wanted to watch the film just not in the cinema. Anyway I got forced to see it, I was actually surprised that i liked it. Admittedly it's not a movie you go to see in the cinema, but it was strangely interesting. If you do go though, watch it till the end of the credits. A little odd surprise at the end
