THE CHICAGO CODE "Gillis, Chase and Babyface" Season 1 Episode 3 – Wysocki was busy with a bank robbery, Colvin was juggling her Chief of Staff, Gibbons and the heist, but this episode belonged to Delroy Lindo, whose Alderman Gibbons was finally brought out to centre stage as he secures major support from a kingpin in the construction sector and delivers Colvin a slap in the face with the planting of his man in her office.

I hope the ratings for this show improve. It is a serialized show that takes commitment, and while it would have no problem on cable (comparisons to The Shield would be far more evident), on network television ratings are God. It is a show that holds up to the trinity standard of quality: solid writing, an excellent cast and superb directing. The directing really, week to week, is a major contributor to the atmosphere of the show, photographing Chicago in both its most beautiful and ugliest state. Read More...
