‘The Good Wife,’ Season 2, Episode 15, ‘Silver Bullet’: TV Recap

Continuing to set itself up as the “Love Boat” of serious drama—albeit with guest stars of major talent—the series recruits America Ferrera to play Wendy Scott-Carr’s illegal nanny in “Silver Bullet,” an episode that also boasts Jerry Stiller as a narcoleptic judge and Gary Cole in his recurring role as Diane’s right wing suitor. More winningly, it is an hour filled with wavering convictions and conflicting emotions as Eli gets a heart, Diane forfeits hers, and Alicia struggles to understand Grace’s newfound love of Jesus.

Gold is arguing with his daughter Marissa (Sarah Steele), trying to keep her from going to Israel, when newly recruited pollster Matt Becker interrupts to announce he has found a silver bullet to use against Wendy Scott-Carr: until recently, she had employed an illegal alien to care for her kids.

Back at Lockhart, Gardner, Diane is beating up the staff, leading Derrick to conclude, “She’s on to us….She’s gearing up for a fight.” Will plays dumb when Bond adds that he’s going to rehire the guy he just fired—because he needs his vote. Read More...
