Hasbro's CEO has given a status update on G.I. Joe 2. "We have a really good script and we're right now talking to a number of directors," Hasbro's Brian Goldner told MTV. He added, "There is a really great idea in the second G.I. Joe." Elaborating on that, Goldner said that while the sequel, scripted by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, won't be totally beholden to the first film, its ending is a natural set-up for the sequel's story. SPOILER WARNING! "You might begin with the knowledge of having your president as an impostor [Zartan]. What would that mean? From that, you can tell a very big story without only having to rely on the chronology of the first film."
