'Dancing With the Stars': Mark Ballas and Chelsea Kane defend their scolded jive


The "Dancing With the Stars" judging panel is admittedly a little old guard when it comes to interpretive choreography, but Mark Ballas was still a bit taken aback by their reception of his playful week 2 jive with partner Chelsea Kane. "We're in Season 12 now," Ballas told Zap2it backstage at the show, after their performance. "You can't just recycle stuff and do the same thing over and over again. If you want to see traditional jive, don't give me a Panic at the Disco song. Give me some Little Richard or some Buddy Holly, and I'll give you that." Their low score (18, down from a 21 the week before ) is actually the only thing about the performance that Ballas wasn't happy with. "They could have scolded me or given me the critique aside from Chelsea, because she danced beautifully tonight, and there's no doubt about that." he says. "She executed everything...
