Actress Demi Lovato only realized she desperately needed help to combat an eating disorder after her parents staged an intervention.
The Disney star quit a tour with the Jonas Brothers late last year and checked into rehab to receive treatment for "emotional and physical issues."
She has since come clean about her personal problems in the new Seventeenmagazine, revealing a stern talk with her mother, father and manager forced her to face up to her food fears.
Opening up about her eating disorder as a contributor to the publication, Lovato writes, "I basically had a nervous breakdown... I was really bad off.
