The Stars are going out?

We saw Donna and her gramps look on as the stars in the sky went out - lots and lots of stars going out.

But why is it that the stars are going out? As we have seen, the Daleks [so far] have only been responsible for stealing 27 planets. And we saw a whole sky full of stars going out.

Any thoughts on that? Think that it will be explained further? Or are we to just assume that the Daleks are out there just destroying planets and stars that they are not stealing.

I see two different explenations, but I'm sure that it will be explained in the next episode.
One possibility is that the 27 planets, like the doctor said in a special balance, are forming some kind of deus ex machina. Therefor in the alternate reality without the docotor, the stars are going out.
But I tend to prefere the idea, that the outgoing stars are a symptome of the torn down barriers between the different universes. And the cause of this is yet to be reveald. Some dark force behind the plans of the Daleks. Maybe the Master or greater forces (new omnipotent enemy for the doctor).
Have fun watching the season finale.
PS: I'm so keen to see the new season produced by Steven Moffat!!!

I think it's because the earth was removed from where it used to be and that there might not be stars in the Medusa Cascade, seeing as it's a little pocket of time/space. That's why there's no sun or moon, because it was only the earth that was moved, not its entire planetary system.
I can't remember if it was mentioned in the show, but I'm pretty sure the planets that the Daleks took were places that the Doctor's been to, especially earth...?

persistentpersis - Well, the stars were going out well before the planet was moved - that's why I am asking about it. How were so many stars going out when only 27 planets went missing, and the sky was going black way before the Earth was stolen...
curious indeed...
BlackDodo - I will go with your theory for now - with the walls breaking down between universes. Hopefully it will become more clear.
