Camelot: "Lady of the Lake" Review

Much of the story's focus was establishing the destructive power of magic in the world of Camelot. We've seen little use of magic from Merlin since the series began so I was really excited to finally see him use his abilities on a larger scale. It appears there is a trade off for using magic. The powerful forces that are summoned to allow the user to work against nature are not only destroying their own sanity but also the world around them. We've seen parallels drawn between drug addiction and magic in other works and it tends to be an effective way of ensuring the magician can't simply cheat their way out of any situation.  Read More...
