'American Idol': James Durbin stages his 'Uprising'; the house is rocked


We have to be honest. When James Durbin headed toward the stage dressed in what Steven Tyler described as "Max Max meets Storm Troopers on Melrose" gear, we were slightly worried. But even though he was only the second performance of the night, Durbin utterly rocked the "American Idol" audience with his high-octane (and octave) cover of Muse's "Uprising."Although the accompaniment of a gang of marching band drummers could've come off as gimmicky (and kind of Gwen Stefani copy-catty), the heavy beats matched Durbin's voice -- a voice that continues to get strengthen with each week of the competition. We can only predict that by the season finale (if he makes it that far), Durbin will be breaking glasses with his high notes."Theatrically the best performance of the night," said Jennifer Lopez.Randy Jackson agreed, saying, "Yo, you were unbelievable up there.
