Are they actually singing?

When they do those solos or even in a group, are they actually singing? I highly doubt it. What do you think or know?

Of course not. They sing the songs in a recording studio and then they lip sync it while acting and the music gets added on during the editing proccess. At least they sing the actual version of the songs, which they do nicely if I might add. A very talented cast!

PrePerTeenyPartyChick is right, the voices are definitely there own, but they also layer their voices over one another in the recording studio, that's why it sounds like a choir of 30 instead of 12.

Lol, to be clear, it is THEIR voices, but they do not sing LIVE to camera, instead they lip synch to their own prerecorded vocals. BTW sorry to shock you but Beyonce lip synched to her own voice in her music video to Single Ladies...
<insert sarcastic smirk here>

All music videos are lip-synced. To be fair, a lot of "live" concert performances by the stars we go to have at least some lip syncing, especially for those performers who have a lot of dancing to go along with their singing.
