Nikita: Season 1 Review

I fondly remember my initial feeling when I learned I'd be writing reviews for Season 1 of Nikita: Total Ambivalence. I could barely remember the plot of the original French film, La Femme Nikita, which I'd rented years ago on VHS (I'm old) and I never watched the USA Network version starring Peta Wilson. As far as I was concerned, this new incarnation was going to be a slick, style-over-substance action show in the vein of Fastlane or the new Knight Rider, with plenty of hot girls and guns. At best, I figuredNikita would be an hour of big, dumb fun. Fast-forward to months later, when I immediately pumped my fist after learning there would be a second season of this kick-ass show. I can't wait to find out what's to become of our two heroes, Nikita (Maggie Q) and Alex(Lyndsy Fonseca). In the 2010-11 network TV season, there were new shows that got more hype than Nikita. There were new shows that got higher ratings than Nikita. But there were no new shows better than Nikita.  Read More...
