TV Ratings: CBS wins quiet Friday, FOX tops demo, 'Supernatural' finale down from 2010

Fast National ratings for Friday, May 20, 2011Plenty of people apparently chose to spend their possible last night on earth somewhere else than in front of the television. CBS won a down Friday, with a new episode of "Flashpoint" and a repeat of "CSI: New York" leading the way. The two-hour "Supernatural" finale brought numbers consistent with recent episodes to the CW, though it was down by more than half a million viewers from the 2010 finale.All in all, CBS averaged 6.3 million viewers and a 4.1 rating/8 share in households, giving it an easy edge over second-place NBC (4.6 million, 3.2/6) -- which itself just edged past ABC (4.5 million, 2.9, 5). FOX (3.7 million, 2.1/4) followed in fourth, with the CW (2.1 million, 1.3/2) in last.
