Two and a Half Men Not in Running for Best Comedy Emmy

CBS has not opted to submit Two and a Half Men to compete for the Outstanding Comedy Series trophy at the next Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, reports.

According to a Men insider, the highly publicized Charlie Sheen debacle earlier this year led to the decision to keep the sitcom out of the running, despite being eligible, having produced  16 new episodes last season. Warner Bros., which produces the show, will reportedly show support for nominations of Jon Cryer, Holland Taylor,Angus T. Jones and Conchata Ferrell, in their respective acting categories.
