'The Event' could live on at Syfy: Is this the canceled 2010/11 series you want more of?

Nearly three weeks after NBC formally canceled its freshman science fiction thriller, "The Event," it now appears that the show might not be completely dead after all. Deadline reports NBC sister network Syfy is currently in talks to resuscitate it as a miniseries -- and possibly add on another season if the mini performs well. There's still a lot to consider for the network and producers at Universal Media Studios. A move to Syfy would greatly decrease the budget, and every day the show stays dead, the more cast members enter commitments to other opportunities. Plot-wise, the series does have a lot of loose ends to tie. The Season 1 finale explained what "the event" was, carefully mentioning that it hasn't actually happened yet. But there's a more important thing to consider here: Is this really the felled show from the last season we want to see get a pardon from the proverbial governor?...
