'Falling Skies': Noah Wyle and aliens give TNT a huge ratings win


TNT's post-alien-invasion drama "Falling Skies" just became the biggest cable series launch of 2011 -- though it still didn't come close to matching 2010 winner, "Rizzoli & Isles."The Steven Spielberg-produced series, starring "ER" veteran Noah Wyle, brought in 5.91 million viewers over the course of its two-hour premiere, according to Neilsen. That makes it the most-watched cable premiere of the year -- and the highest cable premiere ratings since "Rizzoli" debuted to 7.6 million on the same network in July, 2010.
