FX Acquires 'Green Lantern,' 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'

FX has continued its string of blockbuster movie pickups, acquiring premiere rights to Green Lantern and Mr. Popper's Penguins.

The male-skewing network said Tuesday that it has picked up theRyan Reynolds-Blake Lively starrer directed by Martin Campbell and the Jim Carreyfamily comedy.

Green Lantern, a Warner Bros. Pictures adaptation of the DC Comics series, topped the domestic box office this past weekend with a $53.2 million take. Penguins, from Fox, finished the weekend at No. 3, with an $18.4 million haul. Read More...
