‘Terri’ Cast Didn’t Set Out to Make an Anti-Bully Movie

Coming of age movies get a rebirth every so often.

So it’s far from surprising that Azazel Jacobs’ new movie "Terri," which tells the story of an overweight and unpopular high schooler, is being lumped into the sub-genre.

The cast of the film sees the story in a different light. While the movie has a lot of intense, one-on-one moments where John C. Reilly’s Vice Principal Fitzgerald tries to give meaningful advice to Jacob Wysocki’s Terri Turner, it also has its share of uncomfortably open-ended scenes where the script refuses to give any clear answers.
