TV ratings: 'Big Brother' premiere up from last year, leads CBS to Thursday win


Fast National ratings for Thursday, July 7, 2011The 13th season of "Big Brother" got off to a pretty solid start Thursday, improving on its premiere numbers from last year and leading CBS to an across-the-board ratings win for the night. The show was up by about 400,000 viewers and four tenths of a point in adults 18-49 over its 2010 debut.CBS scored 6.8 million viewers and a 4.3 rating/7 share in households for the night. ABC (5.95 million, 3.5/6) came in second, beating out FOX (4.25 million, 2.7/5). NBC managed only 2.15 million viewers and a 1.5/3, but that was good enough to beat The CW's 1.1 million and 0.8/1.The adults 18-49 crown also went to CBS, although the network averaged only a 1.9 rating in the demographic. ABC took second at 1.7. FOX, 1.3, finished third, followed by NBC, 0.8, and The CW, 0.4....
