Rupert Grint Previews Dark 'Harry Potter' Finale (VIDEO)

If you've already read the 'Harry Potter' books, you know there are some surprises in store for the final installment of the film version, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2,' which opens Friday. Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, was on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) Monday to talk about how the franchise ends, and what the cast's future might hold.
Hoda Kotb pointed out that 'Deathly Hallows -- Part 2' has more action and is darker than previous films. "This is kind of the war now," said Grint. "This is a war film. We become soldiers, and characters naturally don't make it to the end." While he confirmd that Ron makes it, he wouldn't say if Hermione lives, and couldn't hold back a wry smirk when asked, much to Kathie Lee and Hoda's dismay. We're guessing the gals haven't read the books.
