TV ratings: 'The Bachelorette' leads Monday despite political interruption


Fast National ratings for Monday, July 25, 2011Each of the big four networks carried live coverage of President Obama's debt-ceiling address and Speaker of the House John Boehner's response Monday, which disrupted the prime-time schedule for much of the country. Despite the interruption, though, "The Bachelorette" ended up as the night's top show.ABC averaged 7.6 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/8 share among households in primetime (all of the big four's averages will change some because of the news coverage). FOX (4.8 million, 2.8/5) came in second, a little bit ahead of CBS (4.6 million, 3.0/5) and NBC (4.4 million, 2.8/5). The CW finished well back of the pack with 569,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.ABC also led among adults 18-49 with a 2.2 rating, edging out FOX's 2.1. CBS took third in the demographic with a 1.1, followed by NBC at 1.0. The CW scored a 0.2....
