AMC: 'No Plans' for Rubicon DVD Release

Rubicon, while lasting only one season, quickly became one of my favorite shows ever. It's been close to a year since Will Travers confronted Truxton Spangler with the truth in the show's series finale, with no sign of a DVD release for the series. TVOvermind has learned from AMC that there are no plans for such a release.

"Although Rubicon was well-received, it did not have the viewership necessary to continue on with another season," a customer service representative for the channel told us. "In addition, there are no plans to release season one on DVD or Blu-ray."

So it seems that, at least for the time being, we won't be getting a physical copy of Rubicon. We'll keep you posted if AMC changes these plans in the future.

AMC recently announced that its upcoming western series Hell on Wheels will premiere on November 6, while returning favorite The Walking Dead will start its second season on October 16. Its series The Killing recently wrapped up its first season (it's been renewed for a second), while Breaking Bad has just started up its fourth. Mad Men will return for its fifth season next year.
