Curb Your Enthusiasm: "The Smiley Face" Review

Ah, well, they can't all be "Palestinian Chicken." "The Smiley Face" was a fairly ho-hum episode by Curb's high standards. There certainly were some funny moments, but not a lot of it really took off. 

Part of the problem was that this episode was rather predictable. Sure, this show is based around situations backfiring on Larry, but there's often a lot of great reveals along the way in how they backfire. The idea that Larry would be annoyed that his assistant, Antoinette, had been out of the office for so long while her father was dying was funny. But you could see it coming a mile away when she agreed to come in for one day, only for that to be the day her dad died.  Read More...
