Who else has given up?

The last episode of Smallville was the dullest 10 mins of my life, why onlu 10 minutes do you ask? Because I gave up at that point. I am a long time Smallville fan and I enjoy the programme to an extent. But I can safely say that I think I've given up. It's just DULL! Tell me I'm not the only one who got so bored they finished with it?

i can see what you mean but, it getting to the point where the characters are showing them selves like lex for instance-hes become a heartless, ruthless millionaire with thoughts to kill anyone that gets in his way. all we all really want is clark to start fricken flying!!!!! and like rolopolo said youve seen them all you kinda wanna carry it on and see where it leads

My god some people just love to complain. NO backbone to tough it out even WHEN NOTHING IS WRONG! That episode was SUPERB! You may have known that if you actually watched ALL of it! First of all Smallville is an excellent show so why wouldn't you watch all the episodes? Second of all if you ARE a long time fan that you've obviously invested a lot of time watching the show ,that you would be AN IDIOT to just give up and stop watching because of "episodes you don't like"!

I agree its been dragged out way to long, but i think the primary problem lies in the fact that the episodes are not as "thrilling" as House, its just the Drama thats getting old.
I noticed this episode was different in the aspect of dramatic performance, more music etc... the dialog needs some work though.
I'll be pissed if they go back to a shallow storyline in the next episode.

what is wrong with you lot, its a series that is revealing everything as not just Clarks powers, maybe you lot just want action and non stop action and it would be good but it would finish far to quick so be with the show and just be happy about it, they are getting new writers in but how do you know that they will bring it any better.
and also they might take it further and you lot won't like it, as they probably take it into another 3 seasons.

The last episode of smallville was brilliant, whoever says it isn't, have lost the concept of it totally. I think it's progressing brilliantly, but rather than seeing clark fly, when is he going to start wearing glasses?

I agree with R-Rambo and Amylicious - if the writer's had just given viewers what they wanted from the start, Clark would have been flying from the first two seasons and then there is little build up to anything because it all happened at once. If anyone thinks that making Clark fly 'fixes' the show, you're probably not watching the show too closely, or you just don't get the whole picture.
Lex's defining moment just happened on the show in season 7 - something tells me that Clark's tipping point isn't too far off and we will be seeing him looking and acting more like the Clark Kent we know as Superman - we've just got to be patient. :P

And I agree with toddyboy again - a series can't just reveal everything straight away, they want to make as many seasons as they can. just like the above said getting Clark to fly isn't going to solve everything, as they need to transform this show into superman, not just him into superman but getting with Lois and working once in his life and being in a suit with glasses, and also actually sorting his hair out.
the writers has done a great job on this show, they deserve the credits as they got this show going and going.
time is changing for superman, but we need to be patient as if not its going to be too quick and all rush.
but its great to see a human in the league with a non-human, I think its going to be great with the two against each other, as Clark is getting serious and Lex is now 100% evil, and who ever joins in which there will be but who knows.

i agree a little with some of you.......they are dragging it out a bit......but they have to if they are going to have a required number of episodes in a season and i think they are going at a great rate......last show was pretty awesome in my opinion.......if they did everything at once than for the rest of the shows in the season there would be nothing going on........I am an avid fan, I've seen every episode and love the show and will not stop watching til the end

Ok was everyone watching the same episode I was watching. I thought the last episode was really really really good and I don't know how some of you thought it was bad. I know everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion but I thought it was really great.

This show has gone through many changes from its original conception 7 seasons ago, It seems as though a true Smallville fan would be used to this change in dynamic by this point. The series still has a lot to look forward to, many things were mentioned in this blog so far, like clark flying, wearing glasses, and dating Lois, thus as long as the dialogue is able to be stomached when it gets too dramatic, boring, or sappy for ones taste, there is no reason to stop watching this show.
