A Hoarder's Friend Tells It Like It Is on 'Hoarding: Buried Alive' (VIDEO)

If you're not a hoarder and you've never seen the home of one in person, it's almost impossible to fully comprehend what that experience is like. We've seen countless times on 'Hoarding: Buried Alive' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC) and 'Hoarders' that friends and family often aren't the most supportive.
The problem is that it just looks like a big, disgusting mess to the person not suffering from the disorder. Furthermore, the person who is the hoarder by extension looks like a disgusting slob. It's hard to understand and appreciate it as an illness, and so that needed support system often crumbles.
