Supernatural Season 7: A New Bad Guy Comes to Town

We know from our Comic-Con coverage that a new big bad will be featured in season 7 of Supernatural, but we're not exactly sure who it will be.  Recent casting spoilers have informed us that a new bad guy will be introduced, although he won't be the big kahuna in terms of evil.

EW is reporting that 90210 and All My Children alum James Patrick Stewart will be making a guest appearance in episode 7.06 as a new character named Richard Roman.  How fancy - a bad guy with a last name!  There's so few of those.

Richard will be connected to Crowley, which means there's a good chance we'll be seeing our favorite self-appointed King of Hell more often this coming season.  Showrunner Sera Gamble has said Crowley himself will be approaching Richard, who is described as "a very canny, charming, well-connected new adversary."   Since Crowley seeks him out to pursue a common goal, we're thinking this guy is a big deal in the evil underworld.

So far Richard will only be appearing in one episode, but we'll have to wait and see if he's killed off quickly or if he'll be sticking around for a little while longer.

Stewart joineds Buffy alumni Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters as confirmed guest stars for season 7 of Supernatural.

The new season of Supernatural will premiere on Friday, September 23 on The CW.  Watch a promo for the new season here.
