Eureka: "This One Time at Space Camp..." Review

"No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!" Oh Eureka, how I love your pop culture references! The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man... Dungeons & Dragons... a 20-sided die for luck. Truly, this show is hard to beat in that department! 

But things went deeper on this week's episode. We got a look into the pasts of some of our favorite characters. Oh sure, it was a sort of a flashback episode, but it was a really, really well done one. Most of those things really don't advance the season arc at all. This one brought us revelations galore. In this one, we learned all about Jo's family of three brothers and a father, and why she is the way she is. I love little Jo! Excellent casting here. This, combined with the look at Zane's past and his daddy issues makes the relationship between Jo and Zane even sweeter. Jo seems to have made peace with herself. It will be interesting to see if Zane does as well. This, of course, leaves me wondering how things would have played out if the show had been given all the episodes we were originally hoping for.  Read More...
