'America's Most Wanted' moves to Lifetime


"America's Most Wanted" has found a new home -- although it will remain a presence at its old home for at least the next year.The crime-busting series, which has been part of FOX since the very early days of the network, will move to Lifetime later this year. There's no word yet on a premiere date for the show on cable."'America's Most Wanted' is a seminal program that provides a very valuable service to both viewers and law enforcement agencies," Lifetime president and general manager Nancy Dubuc says in a statement. "For more than two decades [host/executive producer] John Walsh has been leading the fight against crime and it's an honor to partner with him on bringing back this important show."Lifetime's pickup of "AMW" comes a few months after FOX said it would no longer air the show as a weekly series but instead trim it back to quarterly specials.
