Steve Jones is still a bit of an unknown commodity to most Americans, so having him host their special 'Countdown to the Emmys' (Sun., 7PM ET on FOX), was a great move by the network. It gives us some face-time with the man who will be the host of 'The X Factor.'
As it is likely to be the biggest show of the fall, he may be on the cusp of Ryan Seacrest fame. On the way, though, he may have freaked Rob Lowe out a little bit. Luckily, Lowe's sons appeared to freak him out even more directly afterward.
First, after Amanda Byram was interviewing Lowe and his family in a very traditional way for awhile, Jones interjected. "Rob, if I may," he said. "I would like to tear your face off and put it on my face."
