‘Dancing With the Stars,’ Season Premiere with Chaz Bono, Ron Artest and Nancy Grace: TV Recap

Live, from a living room in the Greater New York metropolitan area, it’s the season premiere of Speakeasy’s "Dancing with the Stars" blog!

The glitter and glitz of the ballroom return for a 13th season, though the ballroom itself has had a makeover: It’s larger, with a skybox. Len, Bruno and Carrie Ann have their paddles, squabbling and double entendres at the ready as they judge the 12 stars and their pros. Tom Bergeron – who really deserves an Emmy for supervising this zany madness – remains the host, along with the newly renamed Brooke Burke Charvet.

Who are the dirty dozen duos seeking that Mirror Ball trophy?

Ron Artest – excuse me, "Metta World Peace" – plays small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers. After his infamous involvement in a brawl during a 2004 game, he’s become an advocate for mental health and seems to be up for anything in a Chad Ochocinco kind of way.
