'X Factor' UK Slammed By Primal Scream; Show's Ratings Downslide Continues

LONDON - Primal Scream have taken to Twitter to condemn X Factor UK's use of their 1994 hitRocks on the ITV1 show, which has struggled to maintain its ratings without Simon Cowell.

The Scottish indie band behind such hits as Country Girlsaid that the track been used without permission.

A post on the band's official Twitter feed said: "Sorry to hear "Rocks" was used on X Factor. We don't endorse this."

The track was performed in a raunchy rock-themed performance from 19-year old Frankie Cocozza, who appeared with a bevy of scantily clad backing singers. Cocozza has been coached by Gary Barlow, the former "Take That" star, who heads this year's judging panel. Read More...
