DOWNTON ABBEY Season 3 Announced

Late last week it was announced that ITV, the biggest commercial television network in the UK, has commissioned eight new episodes of the successful and award-winning Downton Abbey, which was created and written by Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park).

The second season of this popular period piece drama will air on PBS here in the United States starting on January 8, 2012; but it has already aired in the UK, averaging 11.5 million viewers. These numbers have made the series the most popular drama on UK television for over 10 years.

The third season will be set in 1920 and 1921, covering a period of 18 months in the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them. Read More...
