As it turns out, Zoe wasn't actually seeing a ghost in this week's episode of Hart of Dixie. The man she hit turned out to have faked his own death in order to create a persona of a hero, instead of a screw-up, because he wanted his kid to have a far better impression of him. This hit close to home for Zoe, who had been ignoring her mother for most of the episode, until she arrived in town and wanted to explain her actions to her daughter.
Meanwhile, we met the younger Breeland sister, Magnolia. Lemon has spent her whole life raising her younger sister, who was now acting out because her sister was going to get married and move out of their house. George confronted Brick, telling him that he needed to step up and act like a father, instead of just letting Lemon take all the responsibility for their family.
Nascar's Brian Vickers appears as himself in the November 14 episode of Hart of Dixie, but he has to drop out as the host of the Bluebell Junior League's annual turtle race. The mayor is willing to step in as a replacement, but Lemon isn't really happy about him acting as her co-host. The local veterinarian, Dr. Judson Lyons (guest star Wes Brown), asks Zoe out on a date, while Wade gets an unexpected visitor.
