Dancing with the Stars Episode Recap: Monday, Nov. 7, 2011

Dancing with the Stars' top five couples take on two individual routines for the first time — including the Instant Dance. Plus: Find out who got the season's first perfect 30!

Who's the sadist who picked jive as the Instant Dance? I feel bad for the people who have the quickstep on top of that. (Two of the fastest dances in one night?) Maybe that's because I'm in no shape to do either. 

In case you've forgotten, they will all get their Instant Dance music 20 minutes before they perform. But first, Round 1:

Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: quickstep

Cheryl is crackin' the whip to get Rob in line and to tighten his butt. A quickstep to "Take On Me"? Um, OK. The routine starts off rough. He looks like a drunk lumbering giant, but things pick up once they get in hold. And his butt is tucked in! I'm pretty sure he is the only Kardashian who's ever done this. It's not the cleanest dance, but Rob doesn't lose pace and has a lovely frame throughout. The whole fam (sans Kim, obvs) loves it. Len calls it his best dance yet. Bruno says he was speedier than a drag race. Carrie "Bangs" Ann says he's the ideal contestant given his improvement arc this season. "And you had the best week of any Kardashian," Tom quips.
