Dragon Ball Kai Season 1 Episode 05 and 06

To start off this awesome review (not!), let me say "sorry" for missing last week's episode review. You cannot imagine how busy I was last week, so that explains my week-long site absence. What!? It's not like it hasn't happened before! Anyway, this week I will be tackling two episodes for one review in a little thing I like to call a "joint review." If you came to the site for a short review on this week's episode, you won't be getting that. Instead you will still be getting a short review, but this time it's full of info on both episodes five and six! Be prepared! Let's begin...

First, we have episode five. Once again I wasn't able to catch this episode live, but I did get to it on YouTube the next day. I did have a laptop ready for use, but the internet froze when I tried to get the live TV stream! Anyway, I liked this episode and had no really big issues with it. I only made note that there was a new eye-catch (yay!), they seemed to mis-advertise (the whole Gohan transforming scene didn't occur until the end of the episodes; where as the preview suggested it would be in the span of the whole episode!), there was a lot of moving around of scenes going on (I'm confused - this isn't in order with the manga!), and that the next episode preview suggested a large loss of filler. Overall, I'll give this episode a four-star rating. With that out of the way, let's get to episode six...

Second and finally, we have episode six. I liked the feel of this episode and how all that unneccessary filler (the Snake Princess, Goz and Mez, that Capsule Corp. robot, etc.) was taken out. I notice how I never talk about the mechanics of the episode (the cropping, other adjustments, voice-overs, etc.), but that's because I'm really only interest in the material. Got that!? The material, not the mechanics! In the end, I would have to give this episode four stars, also. I guess I just like the way Dragon Ball Kai and its feel. Now we only have to fix the flow of the first episode...

Thanks for viewing this week's "joint review!" I hope you enjoyed it and hope you continue to enjoy reading my other reviews that are yet to come! Bye'cha!
