Dragon Ball Kai Season 1 Episode 09 Review: Yamcha's Struggle! The Terrifying Saibamen

Hello, guys. This is the first review I'm writing on the blog, so if it seems a little different, just learn to live with it. Okay, let's begin...

I can't believe that just nine weeks ago Dragon Ball Kai was beginning to air with its first episode. I lot has changed since then. The Saiyans have finally arrived on Earth, everyone has had a good year of training, and now Yamcha has been killed by one of the Saibamen. Remember, folks - this is only the NINTH episode! Anyway, to start things off I'm going to give the entire episode a four-star rating.

Like all the previous episodes, I liked it. The music was cool, the cropping was okay, etc. I really liked the new eye-catches. I think they're the best ones so far, but I feel they could have done more with them...

What about the episode material? Episode nine covered three chapters of the manga and three episodes of Dragon Ball Z. The weird thing about it was that it didn't feel rushed. It seemed to flow right on by and not seem so rushed. I guess it's because almost all of the material was originally from the manga. They are improving with this whole "true to the manga" thing...

Well, that's all the stuff I have to write. I promise to write more notes other than the commercials for the next episode! It's just getting more and more like Z that I have no more notes to put down. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the review. See you next time!
