'General Hospital' hires 'One Life to Live' EP, head writer


With a plan to continue "One Life to Live" online having collapsed, two of the show's primary creative forces are moving over to ABC's lone remaining daytime soap, "General Hospital."Executive producer Frank Valentini and head writer Ron Carlivati will make the move to "GH" starting Jan. 9. "One Life to Live' filmed its final episode last month."I look forward to this next exciting chapter working with the wonderful cast and crew of 'General Hospital,'" Valentini says in a statement. "This is an incredible opportunity for me to extend my passion and expertise for daytime television as I continue my relationship with [ABC] and become part of an extraordinary team in 2012."Just how long Valentini and Carlivati have to work with "General Hospital" is an open question. As Vulture noted when it broke the news of the moves (ABC later made the official announcement), "GH" could find itself without a home next season when ABC rolls...
