In "Shame," directed by Steve McQueen, a man grapples with his sexual addiction as he goes about his life as a high-functioning business executive in New York. The man, Brandon (played by Michael Fassbender), is forced to confront his addiction and fears of intimacy when his younger sister (played by Carey Mulligan) comes to stay with him.
The Fox Searchlight feature, 99 minutes long, is rated NC-17. Will the rating deter moviegoers from seeing for themselves what the buzz has been since the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival (and where Fassbender won the award for Best Actor)? Read some reviews of "Shame" below.
