John Grisham: 'The Firm' has 'a lot of good legal intrigue'

The small screen continuation of John Grisham's 1991 best seller "The Firm" premieres Sunday night (Jan. 8) on NBC. It picks up 10 years after the events of the book (and movie starring Tom Cruise) and Grisham says he wasn't initially excited about the concept of the show, until he read the script from creator Lukas Reiter."[I] didn't really think about 'The Firm' as a TV show until Luke Reiter appeared on the scene and showed me a script," says Grisham. "When I read Luke's script a couple, three years ago I thought it was very good and kind of got excited about the idea of, you know, a weekly drama."Grisham isn't involved in the everyday writing, but says that he has passed along big ideas about where the show might go.
