Kelly Fights With Abby On 'Dance Moms' Premiere

Abby Lee Miller returned with a new season of "Dance Moms" (Tue., 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime) for fans of yelling in front of uncomfortable children. There seems to be no determination on when is an appropriate time to start screaming from Miller or her dance moms. She simply is not going to take any criticism from anyone. She's the one who produces champions and success stories, and if the cost is too high, there's the door.

When Kelly Hyland criticizes how quickly Miller is moving through dance numbers -- teaching the girls a new one every three days, and then criticizing them for not being perfect -- she said Miller's impatience was because she has never had a child.

"No, but I had a mother and a father," Miller countered, which isn't the same thing at all. "And if they looked at me one time, I knew!"

The argument eventually got into an argument about whether or not Hyland pays her bill on time, which really goes to show that it's just a clash of personalities and a lot of other underlying issues that only bubble to the surface from time to time. It was awkward, though, seeing the girls get quietly ushered out of the room by Miller's assistant as the fighting escalated.

Another mom on the show, Christi Lukasiak, looked back on the show's first season for HuffPost Parents, writing about how things were depicted and how she took to the experience of being on a reality show. She said it heightens everything, which could explain at least some of these heightened tensions.

The drama continues on "Dance Moms" every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
