Golden Globes 2012: 'Game of Thrones'' Peter Dinklage Hopes Win Gives Fantasy Dramas 'More Respect'


After picking up the Emmy for HBO's fantasy drama Game of Thrones, Golden Globe supporting actor in a drama or miniseries winner for Peter Dinklage said he hopes the win gives fantasy dramas more credibility.

 "Hopefully it will give that genre a little bit more respect," he told reporters backstage.

Based on the best-selling series by author George R.R. Martin, Dinklage credited the willingness of the series to take risks adds to Thrones' addictive nature. "You never know what's going to happen when you kill the protagonist," he said, referencing the death of Sean Bean's Eddard Stark in the penultimate episode of Season 1. Read More...
