'Parenthood' duo, Jimmy Fallon, Greg Daniels score NBC pilot orders


NBC needs a lot of shows to fill holes in its lineup, so it's ordering a lot of pilots. Like, 10-in-one-day a lot.The network has given the green light to a pair of drama projects and a whopping eight comedies, including the three we told you about on Monday (Jan. 23). The two dramas come from producers with long-standing relationships with the network -- "Parenthood"/"Friday Night Lights" executive producer Jason Katims and "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf. The comedies include pilots produced by Jimmy Fallon and "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" exec producer Greg Daniels, Deadline reports.Katims' project is a medical drama called "County," about the staff of a county hospital in Los Angeles. Jason Ritter, who currently has a recurring part on "Parenthood," is attached to star.
