TV ratings: 'Big Bang Theory' tops 'American Idol' again, '30 Rock' takes a hit


Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012"The Big Bang Theory" beat "American Idol" across the board for the second straight week in their common half-hour, helping CBS score the top spot in total viewers Thursday night. "Idol" grew significantly in its second half-hour, though, and gave FOX a win among adults 18-49.(The "BBT"-"Idol" half-hour numbers are: 16.4 million viewers and a 5.4 adults 18-49 rating for "Big Bang" and 15.8 million and 5.0 for "Idol.")Also Thursday, "The Finder" dropped some from its series high last week, "Grey's Anatomy" was up slightly with its alternate-universe episode and "30 Rock" fell on NBC.CBS brought in 14.1 million viewers and an 8.6 rating/14 share in households for the night, topping the 12 million and 7.1/11 for FOX.
