'Bachelor' episode 8 recap: Hometowns

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year. Yes, it’s hometown week on "The Bachelor." The time when we get to see the women’s families either attempt to put their best feet forward on national TV or to lay down the law with their gushing daughters. These week, it was much more of the latter. ABC TWIRLY: Kacie greets Ben with a baton routine and a high school band. Things start off fine, if predictable, with our horse enthusiast Lindzi. The date she "surprises" Ben with starts and ends with horseback riding. I’m sure he was very surprised. Horses are very important to her because they have been a part of her life "like, since before I was born." But, in between rides, Lindzi opens up to Ben a little bit more about her ex, you remember the one – "Welcome to Dumpsville, population: you." Turns out she actually lived with this smooth talker for awhile, and after he broke her heart, she "literally" thought her life would not go on.
