'The Big Bang Theory's' Jim Parsons: Working with Stephen Hawking was 'insane and intense'


It's not often that an actor gets to work with one of the brightest minds in world history. But "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons did just that as he recently filmed with famed theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. And apparently it was quite an experience."It was insane and intense, if I'm being honest," Parsons tells TV Guide. "To be in his presence was a very powerful thing. He's communicating only through a speech-generating device, but I was also able to look into his eyes."Parsons adds that Hawking, who suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, was a pro on the job. "They had the capability of just cuing his lines, but he demanded to control every take himself by operating his machine with his cheek muscle.
